Ada Johnson,SEP.
I am the loving parent of Button, who was stillborn in January 2015, and Simon, a rainbow baby born in August of 2016.
I am a grief and trauma worker, holding space for the process of integrating personal and collective trauma, grief and transition. My offering are as a bereavement doula, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner(for groups and individuals) and a ritual and ceremony guide.
In addition to drawing on my lived experience as a bereaved parent, I have attended numerous trainings about pregnancy and infant loss, including with Empty Arms Bereavement Support as well as the Institute for the Study of Birth, Breath, and Death. I have presented on several panels about my experience with infant loss and have taught a course on peer support and infant loss for Indie Birth. I offer ongoing education and support for birth workers on best practices after loss.
